Upcoming Elections
May 2, 2026 Dallas County Municipal Election
Local elections have big impact. Will the Park Cities keep contributing to our regional transit authority, DART? Will Dallas approve the bond initiative to make our schools better for our most important regional resource (our kids!)?
Check here for your most convenient early voting site. (Note: No voting on Tuesday due to a state holiday). Election day sites have not been yet published, but the regular HPISD schools will be open to voting on May 2. (Stay tuned for more election day voting sites.)
As you’ll see below, the ballots for this election are small but mighty.

Who Should I Vote For?
Park Cities Area Dems is not a PAC, so we cannot endorse candidates. However, we can have fun parties where we all get together to discuss candidates and make our informed decisions. Which we did last week (photos in the next newsletter!).
DISD Trustee for District 2, Sarah Weinberg, stopped by to tell us why Dallas DISD District 2 voters should vote for her, and why all DISD voters should approve the important bond measures for our schools. (Click on her name to see a summary of her remarks). And she provided further resources for Dallas/DISD voters including a Dallas Morning News Op-ed she wrote explaining the bond issues, a similar Op-ed from fellow trustee Byron Sanders, and the DMN’s endorsement ff her candidacy for re-election in District 2.
PCA Dems’ own Peter Young spoke to Park Cities voters about why they should vote “Yes” to continue supporting DART with sales tax revenues. (Click on Peter’s name to see a summary of his remarks).
